Location

 

Dalnaspidal, Camusericht, Corrievarkie, Dalwhinnie, and Strathmashie Estates are located in the counties of Inverness-shire & Perthshire. Part of the Estate lies within Cairngorm National Park.

 

Area

Ben Alder Estate comprises the following:

Ben Alder Estate: 22,000 acres
Camusericht Estate: 12,500 acres
Corrievarkie Estate: 5,400 acres
Dalnaspidal Estate: 10,750 acres
Dalwhinnie Estate: 5,000 acres
Strathmashie Estate: 1,025 acres

Total: Approx. 56,500 acres (22,865 ha)

The Estate includes Ben Alder and Drumochter Hills, both Special Areas of Conservation (SAC) and has a number of Munros (a mountain over 3000 ft) within the Estate boundary.

Alex Dick

DIRECTOR

Alex has managed Culden Faw Estate, our sister estate in Henley-on-Thames, since 2008.  He has been a Director of Ben Alder Estate since 2014 and oversees legal and compliance matters.

Mignonne Khazaka

Resident Factor

 

Mignonne was appointed in February 2024.

Mignonne comes to the estate with a wide range of experience in business, property and law.

The Estate Objectives

  • The sustainable long term management of all Estate assets for the benefit of present
    and future generations.
  • The sensitive environmental management of all land to protect and enhance the unique habitats within the Estate boundaries.
  • The maintenance and preservation of the architecturally important buildings on all parts of Ben Alder Estate.
  • To provide a secure and safe working environment for all staff.
  • Active participation in, and support for the local Community, whenever appropriate.
  • Excellence in the provision of all services to visitors to the Estate.

 

The Estate is managed on a day to basis by a directly employed resident factor supported in the Estate Office by administrative and accounting staff.
