About the Lodge

Victorian-built Strathmashie Cottage is full of character and retains many of the original features. Set in a peaceful rural setting near the River Mashie, this comfortable and welcoming retreat is the perfect choice for a family or small group of up to four to relax and unwind.

There are low-level walks through the forests, hill walking at nearby Creag Meagaidh, or fishing is available locally. Alternatively, guests can explore the beautiful Cairngorm National Park, which has abundant visitor attractions and fantastic scenery. Ben Nevis, Fort William and Loch Ness are under an hour’s drive from the cottage. Endless activities are on offer locally to suit every ability.

The cottage is just a short drive or a walk from the beautiful Pattack Falls, scenic Loch Laggan, or the start of the path up to the historical Pictish fort of Dun da Lamh.  Laggan WolfTrax mountain bike trails centre is a 2.5km cycle or drive.
