The houses featured on this web-site are offered for let on a weekly basis, usually Saturday to Saturday (4 p.m. on the date of arrival to 10 a.m. on the date of departure) unless otherwise stated, subject to the Hiring Terms and Conditions detailed within. Please note that the prices may be subject to change and do not necessarily infer availability. Please ensure that you telephone the Lodge and Lettings Manager on 07769 313 755 or email on lodgeandlettingsmanager@ben-alder.com beforehand to get the relevant gate codes for the Estate.

Book Your Stay

Are happy to discuss individual guests requirements to ensure they choose best house to suit their needs. Once the provisional telephone reservation has been made, the booking form should be completed and sent off with the appropriate payment to the address on the form to arrive with us within five days. This will ensure prompt attention to your booking. You may also contact us by e-mail to make any enquiries.

Good Housekeeping

In all cases, a credit card will be pre-authorised for up to £500. This will be cancelled less the cost of making good any damage or loss to the property or for excessive cleaning found necessary following the period of occupation. Any monies deducted will be payable to Ben Alder Estate.

Paying For Your Holiday

We have tried to make paying for your holiday as simple as possible. The initial payment is 30% of the total hire charge paid to Ben Alder Estate. The balance is payable no later than eight weeks prior to commencement of the holiday. If you are booking within eight weeks of the start of your holiday, payment in full is required with your booking form. An Information sheet including directions, gate codes and key instructions is issued on receipt of the final payment.

Booking from Overseas

Overseas visitors are most welcome and because of the difficulties distance can impose we allow up to seven days for bookings to be confirmed from the date a telephone reservation is made.

Payments from overseas can be made by bank transfer or an international money order in Sterling. Any bank charges incurred will be payable by you.

Cancellations

Please note that, once a booking has been confirmed, cancellation refunds will be in accordance with the booking conditions. It is important that cancellations are sent to us in writing, an email will suffice.

Equipment

Towels and bed linen are provided (this may be duvets or blankets and sheets). Each property is furnished and equipped to cater for the stated permitted occupancy and also includes pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, iron and ironing board.

In certain areas TV channel choice and reception may be poor. Freesat are available in some properties. Please check beforehand if this is important.

Water Supplies

In many areas of rural Scotland water is by private supply which comes from peaty grounds and, even when it comes from a mains supply, can be very brown. This is especially noticeable after heavy rainfall. Although unsightly, it is safe to drink. All our properties have regular water testing, UV and solid filters to ensure safe drinking water.

Pets

A maximum of two Pets are welcome details must be supplied on the booking form. Pets must be kept under strict control at all times and are permitted on the ground floor of the property only. Outside external kennels are available.
Pets are strictly not allowed on beds and upholstered furniture.

Cleaning

All properties are cleaned thoroughly between each let. However, as only a limited period of time is available to clean properties, it is a condition of your let that you leave the property and its contents clean and tidy.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in any of our rental properties.

Catering

If a chef is required, we can supply contact details for you to book direct.

Telephone

All our properties have telephone except Corrievarkie Lodge. Guests staying in the lodges will be required to pay for all calls by appropriate means.

Short Breaks

Lets are for a minimum of 4 nights.

Complaints

It is important to us that you enjoy your holiday and every effort has been made to ensure this. However, in the unlikely event of dissatisfaction with the property or any subsequent problem, you must immediately contact us so that the opportunity to rectify the problem is given.
